Welcome to Tara Dreamscapes. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and the engagement of our interior design services. By accessing our website or booking a consultation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
Tara Dreamscapes provides interior design, styling, and renovation assistance services. The specific scope of work for your project will be detailed in a separate Design Proposal or Letter of Agreement, which will supersede these general terms where applicable.
2. Fees and Payment
- Consultation Fees: Initial consultation fees are payable in advance or at the time of the appointment.
- Design Fees: Design fees are estimated in our Proposal. A deposit is typically required to commence work.
- Invoices: Invoices are due within 7 days of issue unless otherwise stated. Late payments may incur interest.
- Product Purchases: Full payment is required for furniture and decor items before orders are placed with suppliers.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Consultations: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled appointment may incur a cancellation fee.
Design Services: If you terminate the agreement, you will be invoiced for all hours worked and expenses incurred up to the date of termination.
Products: Custom-ordered furniture and decor items are generally non-refundable once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.
4. Intellectual Property
All design concepts, drawings, floor plans, and mood boards created by Tara Dreamscapes remain our intellectual property. Upon full payment of all fees, you are granted a non-exclusive license to use these designs for the specific project and location intended. You may not reproduce or use these designs for other projects without our written consent.
5. Third-Party Suppliers and Trades
We may recommend builders, tradespeople, or suppliers. While we exercise care in these recommendations, Tara Dreamscapes is not responsible for the quality of work, delays, or errors caused by third-party contractors. Contracts for construction or installation are directly between you and the contractor.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian Consumer Law, Tara Dreamscapes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service in question.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the ACT.
